With the new year just around the corner, who isn't beginning to think of ways to become healthier and how to live a longer life? Here are some small changes that you can implement now, or at the start of the new year, if you want to be healthier and live longer.

  • Skip screens before bed if you want to sleep better, and lack of quality sleep can lead to a wide range of chronic health problems.
  • Stand up every twenty minutes, for two minutes, even if you do nothing else. It can change how your body responds physiologically.
  • Cut back on sugar because the overconsumption of sugar can lead to a hold of diseases. Try reading the labels of what you eat to try to reduce your added sugar intake.
  • Take the stairs instead of the elevator every chance you can get. Exercise, even as small as just taking the stairs, can help reduce the risk of heart attacks and lower inflammation.
  • Meet up with friends because strong social bonds has been proven to lead to a longer life.
