It's hard to enjoy anything during the day when you're exhausted. You made sure you got your 7-9 hours of sleep the night before, so what's the problem? Here are a few reasons why you might still be tired even though you got enough sleep.

  • You're sleeping the wrong way. You didn't know that there was a right and wrong way to sleep? Poor sleep can occur from a number of things, including inappropriate exposure to light: too much at night, not enough during the day.
  • You may have an iron deficiency. Anemia can cause fatigue and weakness as well as brittle nails, cold hands and feet, and pale skin.
  • You may be dehydrated. Dehydration causes fatigue even after you've had your morning cup of coffee.
  • You may be depressed. Fatigue can prolong bouts of depression, and certain anti-depressants can exacerbate this issue.

Of course, if none of these make sense to you, and you're still tired, then take a nap!
