Your Willpower Is Weakest in the Afternoon
Dieters beware! Your diet is likely to derail at a certain time of the day. But as they say, to be forewarned is to be forearmed.
Dieters watch out your willpower is weakest at 3:23pm. That’s the time when you are most likely to fall off the calorie counting wagon and grab some junk food, say researchers with the Atkins Diet.
According to Atkins.com, after surveying 1,250 dieters, the scientists calculated the moment when boredom, stress, hunger and temptation will most likely converge. “The most precarious time for dieters is between 3pm and 3:30pm,” says Atkins nutritionist Linda O’Byrne. “And the mean time of failure worked out as precisely 3:23pm.
“This is the time when most dieters are susceptible to failure because of a number of different factors, especially a dip of energy in the afternoon and the habit of using food as an emotional crutch.”
What do you think of this finding? Is this when your diet goes off track. It does for me. At least now, we can do something to battle this problem!
