Napping Could Add Years Onto Your Life
Do you wish that you could nap more? I have good news for you! A new study, published in the journal Heart, has found that a midday nap once or twice a week lowers your risk for cardiovascular disease.
It can be hard to find the time for an afternoon nap, but if it's for the sake of your heart health (and let's be honest we're always nicer after a nap, too), then you should start to make time for it!
This study followed 3,500 people between the ages of 35 and 75, and those nappers almost halved the likelihood that they would have a heart attack, stroke, or heart failure compared to the ones in the study who didn't nap.
So if you can find the time to lay down for an hour a couple times a week, that can only do good things for your health and probably your mood as well. Close the blinds, turn off the television and rest those eyes. You deserve it.
