Health information is all over the internet: how to eat healthy, how to exercise properly, and how to be and stay happy. Here are some good, solid pieces of advice for being happy now and in the long-term.

  • Prep breakfast the night before to save you time and energy in the morning. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so you definitely do not want to skip it!
  • Sit like a man because women are taught to sit with their legs together and doing so puts pressure on the tendons which can cause hip and knee pain when it's too tight. Sitting with your legs slightly apart can relieve this pain.
  • Set workout reminders such as putting your running shoes out where you know you'll trip over them. If you see a reminder to exercise then you'll be more likely to do so.
  • Stay present to avoid temptation at the grocery store because at one point or another we have all gone shopping for food while hungry and bought less-than-healthy food that you regretted after buying. Just remember if I don't buy it, I can't eat it and try to stay mindful of that.
  • Make bedtime an event that you can look forward to, that way you won't keep putting it off. Wear your most comfortable pajamas, but only when you're about to get underneath the sheets. Slather on some good smelling lotion, too, or whatever helps you get excited to sleep!
