Tips to Get Long, Long Hair
Seven years ago, I got a pixie hair cut. I wore it that way for two years. And for the life of me, I don't know why. My hair is long now (after so much time, effort, and conditioning products), and I will never have it any other way again. Cosmopolitan has a few tricks to help others like me grow out their hair.
- Your hair does not grow overnight, typically it's about a quarter of an inch per month. It feels like eternity, I know. So, practice patience.
- Condition your hair every time you shower to help restore the proteins and lipids in the strands. If you want long, healthy hair, this is the best thing you can do.
- Work from the bottom when you brush your hair and move upwards to help avoid breakage. You can lose a lot of hair when you tug at small tangles that are created from starting upwards and moving down.
- Never wrap your wet hair in a towel as it can cause so much breakage!
Hair is a fragile and tricky business, but we all have it, so we might as well treat it with kindness, and let it grow!
