This Is How You Know You Are Getting Old
The other day I was out running some errands and I had to stop at the grocery store to get some milk. I stopped at Aldi's in Johnson City, and had no idea that my life was so sad until a certain moment when I got there.
This just confirms that I am getting old. My new thing is to park farther away from the main doors of buildings to hopefully get some extra steps in. When I got out of my car there was a shopping cart next to it.
If you are not familiar with the shopping cart system at Aldi's, it's brilliant. You basically rent a cart for 25 cents. And, when you put it back you get your quarter back. It is great because it keeps the parking lot from getting full of shopping carts all over the place.
So, I took the cart in to shop and then returned it to get a quarter. You would have thought I won the lottery! I had a hop to my step because I found a quarter. I was happy all day after that...all over a QUARTER! I guess when you get old, it doesn't take much to excite you.
