Signs That You Might Have The Flu
No matter how much vitamin C you take, no matter how many layers you wear when you go out into the cold, the flu is always ready to attack your immune system this time of the year. Bustle says there are some signs to look for, other than a fever, that could mean that you have the flu.
- Sudden and unexplained fatigue could be an early sign of the flu for you. If your immune system is fighting off the flu, you could find yourself suddenly and mysteriously tired to the point of weakness.
- Coughing and a sore throat can be an indication of the flu because most flu symptoms happen in the head and chest, so if you feel a tightness in the chest, or you are coughing up phlegm, you may have the flu.
- Headaches when accompanied by other flu-like symptoms can indicate that it is, in fact, the flu and not just a cold. The flu virus cannot spread at warmer temperatures, so your body may raise its' temperature to fight off the virus and therefore, cause you to get a headache.
If you're experiencing any of these or other flu-like symptoms, please take care of yourself until you are feeling better. It's important to take time to yourself while you're recovering, and not spread the virus to anyone else.
