If you are serious about keeping your weight off and staying healthy, then you better not mix TV, dinner and family.

It seems like a no-brainer, but we all seem to let it happen. According to Men's Health, adults who never had a TV on during family meals had 37 percent lower odds of obesity than those who always did.

"Turning off the television and cooking real food will give you 47 percent lower odds of obesity than those who usually ate meals while watching TV."

It seems easy enough but it can be a dangerous habit if you can't handle not watching TV while eating.

If you change nothing else about your diet, just moving your meals to a kitchen table and not the living room should help you keep from packing on the pounds.
