No matter how long you and your significant other have been together, there will always be a conversation that is slightly awkward between the two of you, but you know you have to have it. Bustle made a list of those awkward conversations, but just know, having them will bring you closer as a couple.

  • Whether or not you want children can be awkward especially if you two aren't "there" yet, but if this is something you wholeheartedly disagree on then hopefully you don't make it to "there" before you have that conversation. If you two agree on the matter though, all the better and what a sigh of relief that would be!
  • What really scares them and I don't mean heights or clowns. Ask your partner what their deepest fears are, what absolutely worries them. Learning about your partner on a much deeper level will bring you closer together.
  • Where you'd like to live someday because this can be wildly different between the two of you and could potentially break you two up! If he wants to move back home to his childhood town, but you want to move to a big city 3,000 miles away, there needs to be that awkward discussion to find out.

Awkward conversations are usually avoided, but if you get them out of the way and just sit down and have them, they can bring you closer together as a couple.
