There are so many movies made this time of the year that are holiday-focused and are about falling in love. It's easy to want one of those movies to mirror your own life! As a result, you might feel like you're in love with your new partner in your life even if you really aren't.

Around the holidays, there are also so many more events than any other time of the year, too. So while you might be seeing your new significant other once a week, if you want them to be your date to holiday functions, you might end up seeing them a lot more often just because there are so many events that you need a date for. Seeing each other more can move the relationship along faster than you normally would have preferred it to go.

And then you have to take into account that the holidays can just feel magical, and you want to start creating memories with your new partner right away, which can also make you feel like your relationship is more serious than it actually is!

You want to make sure that you and your partner are communicating about "where you are" in the relationship, and hopefully you both can feel comfortable with how this relationship is taking form. You don't want the relationship to run off before you have the chance to grow into it together.
