Cuddling up with your partner while you two watch a movie or try to fall asleep is something so comforting and can be so intimate between the two of you. Bustle reveals that there are some great health benefits to cuddling that you may not have known about.

  • It releases oxytocin which is typically nicknamed as the love hormone because your body releases it when you're doing things like kissing, cuddling, etc. You don't get that feeling from cleaning or working, only from doing things love-related.
  • It helps you to fall asleep given that you're comfortable and cozy in bed as it is that falling asleep is the next natural thing. Being cuddled and keeping warm help create a great sleeping environment.
  • It can improve your heart health because cuddling helps to relieve stress. When you're stressed out, your heart feels that and it is negatively impacted by that. When you're cuddling, your body feels more relaxed and your heart relaxes with it.

There are so many reasons why you and your partner should cuddle and cuddle often, but to know that there are real health benefits to it, there's no good reason not to!
