Cravings are a part of life, and they occur for all sorts of reasons. Brit.Co reveals exactly what it means to crave certain foods, and what to eat or do instead to curb that craving.

  • Sweets, when you're craving sweet foods you're probably feeling a little bad or down in the dumps. Instead of reaching for a doughnut, consider a piece of fruit!
  • Salty, you normally crave salty foods when you are stressed out. This craving usually indicates an imbalance in your mineral intake, so consider Himalayan pink salt to table salt to help replenish your mineral needs.
  • Fried foods, usually take hold on cravings when you're missing something nutritionally. Maybe you're tired, or maybe you're not getting enough healthy fats in your diet. Something is off. Take some time and think about what could be missing, and try to satisfy that need first.

Cravings happen! But before you give yourself a stomachache, consider the underlying issue that is causing that craving to occur.
