It's time to drink more water. It is NO secret that drinking more water will help you lose and keep the weight off.

I will admit that soda is my one big problem. I have been doing great getting to the gym and eating a little better. But, the one thing I can't do is stop drinking soda. I hate that I can't seem to stop this bad habit.

I have seen and written a ton of blogs about the benefits of drinking water. But, up until now I have been the "do as I say, not as I do" kind of person. But, I REALLY need to quit the soda and start drinking more water.

According to Healthday News, here are some more reasons it's time to drink more water:

  • Those who didn't consume enough water had a higher body mass index (BMI) than those who did drink enough water. BMI is a measure of weight in relation to height.
  • Those who were poorly hydrated had a 50 percent greater chance of being obese than those who were properly hydrated.
  • Even when such factors as age, gender and income were counted, the link held.

"Drinking water may make you feel fuller so you eat less and don't gain as much weight."

Wish me luck! Drinking more water is the one thing that would catapult my efforts and really help with getting and keeping more weight off. I have been doing great but this would help me do even better.
