Whether you're in the beginning stages of a relationship, or you're two years in and thinking about marriage, there are some things that you and your partner should enjoy doing together as a good marker to see if they are "the One". Bustle put together a list to help you figure it all out.

  • Spending the night with you is important because it creates a closeness that just hanging out with someone doesn't do. If your partner likes to sleep separately most nights, that might be a sign of something worth talking about.
  • Meet important people in your life such as your closest friends and family. If your partner drags their feet to meet your parents and siblings, or they've met already and he verbalizes how much he doesn't like to see them, he may not be "the One". Whether he likes them is not the issue so much as he doesn't want to spend time with them for you.
  • Appreciate the little things in the relationship like going to get frozen yogurt on a Tuesday or going grocery shopping and planning meals for the week with you. Little things don't always mean a lot, but they can add up to so much.

Compromise and communication will always make a relationship easier, and finding "the One" may not be easy, but once you found them, everything else should become easier.
