Woman Goes Blind for 3 Weeks After Tattooing Her Eyeballs Blue
A 24-year-old woman who calls herself the "Blue Eyed White Dragon", has spent over $37,000 modifying her body including a dangerous and painful 40-minute procedure to transfer her eyes blue.
According to News.com.au, her real name is Amber Luke and she is from New South Wales, Australia.
Besides having the whites of her eyes permanently changed to blue, Luke has received over 200 tattoos, had her tongue split, multiple body piercings, and even had pointed implants placed on her ears. The report also states that she has undergone breast augmentation surgery and had her lips and cheeks filled.
I wig out whenever I see or hear of any kind of eye trauma. I can eat spaghetti while watching brain surgery. That doesn't bother me. But anything having to deal with the eyes, I start to shake. I can't imagine having a needle going in your eye on purpose, let alone many times over a 40 minute span.
I used this story as a Strange But True this morning, and tried to describe how beautiful Amber Luke was before she started these procedures. I have no problem with tattoos on a woman's body from the neck down, but I'm not a big fan of having tattoos on the face.
To me, this is just a big cry for attention which she could have gotten just by writing “look at me” on her forehead with a permanent marker. Eventually that would have faded away and she wouldn't have had to spend over $37,000. But, to each their own I guess.
