We know what a vegan is, what a vegetarian is, but what exactly does it mean if you call yourself a flexitarian? Well, it means that you mostly eat vegetarian but will occasionally eat meat still. So if you're trying to cut down your intake of meat and fish, you could call yourself a flexitarian if you wanted to.

Now why would someone choose to become a flexitarian? The big reasons that people are choosing to cut back on eating meat are for their health, for the health of the planet, and animal activism.

More and more people are choosing to eat less meat so if you're not quite ready to dive right in to vegetarianism, you can dip your toes in as a flexitarian and see how that feels for you. Whether you transition to meatless living or not is up to you, but it can never hurt to eat less meat.
