I am the biggest offender of soda drinking. I can't just have one. If I have one it turns into soda all day and night.

It's no secret that sweetened drinks are linked to a greater amount of health issues.

So, I think it's time to really stop with the bad habit of drinking soda. I have actually been doing really well at not drinking it. I gave it up for Lent and haven't even had any on Sunday. That is arguably the day when we can cheat and have what we gave up.

According to HealthDay News, Consuming just two sweetened beverages a day appears to significantly increase the risk of heart failure, a condition that occurs when the heart is too weak to pump enough blood to meet the body's needs.

The scary part about this study is that it doesn't take much...just TWO sweetened drinks a day. That's nothing.

I'm nervous because even though I have been doing great with not drinking soda. Am I going to start drinking it again when Lent is over? If you see me out, don't let me have a soda.
