One of the most fun and relatively cheap weekend outings that you can enjoy with your friends is hitting up thrift shops to see what treasures you might find. But if you're on a mission to find something specific, here are some tips to help you find what you're looking for.

  • Location, location, location is so important when looking for some things. If you want to find some designer clothes, go to shops where the older generation would be donating or selling their items. If you're looking for furniture pieces, don't think you'll find them in tiny city shops, rather look in the larger thrift shops.
  • See the potential in things that you may not normally consider whether that be a shirt or dress that's too large or a piece of furniture or home decor that is the wrong color, shape, etc.
  • Be nice to the shop owner because if they don't have what you're looking for right now, you can talk to the owner and communicate with them what you're looking for. So if they come across it in their hunt for stock, they can reach out to you and let you know if they find what you're looking for.

A weekend of bargain hunting is so much fun, and if you're on the hunt for something specific, it can make the game even more enjoyable!
