Pickles are universally a delicious food, and many of us have a favorite kind. Bustle says that they are actually quite healthy for you to eat as well. What a great win for all of us!
- Pickles are actually vegetables because, in case you didn't know, they are fermented cucumbers. Eating pickles counts as part of your daily intake for vegetables throughout the day!
- They can help keep your blood sugar down which is because of the vinegar content in pickles (or any fermented foods!). This can prevent blood sugar spikes and be very beneficial for people with diabetes.
- Pickle juice can soothe muscle cramps if you can manage to drink it. Drinking as little as 1/4 of a cup can help sooth soreness and muscle cramping.
