As more and more activities start to re-open across New York state, camping is next on the list. Today (Monday, June 8th) you can reserve a campsite in all of the New York State Parks. There are some restrictions and reservations will fill up fast. Here's what you need to know.

Campgrounds and RV parks were given to the go ahead to reopen, but state run campgrounds will take a couple weeks to get there.

Although Governor Cuomo allowed campgrounds across New York State to open Monday, the DEC has other ideas.

Governor Cuomo announced during his briefing on Sunday that campgrounds would be able to start reopening Monday, May 25, with new restrictions in place.

Parts of New York will unPAUSE May 15th, as businesses begin to slowly re-open. State owned campgrounds won't be one of them.

While State Parks and Campgrounds remains closed, Cayuga County is issuing season-long permits.
