Everyone right now is boasting on social media about their new diets, new haircuts or new mantras to help them get in shape in 2020. All of that is awesome, but maybe you're not feeling the power of 2020 the ways others are, and you want to just get through the resolution hype and move on with the rest of the year.

Body image and self-confidence are tricky thoughts and feelings to navigate, and when people around you are trying to change how they look, it can be hard to like what you see in the mirror. Comparing yourself to other people is something that we all do (I have cried so many times over this!), but you need to remember that you are you and they are them.

Talk to your family and friends who love you because they can remind you about all of the good that you offer to the world. Curate your social media account so that you don't see what's making you feel so down about yourself. It sounds extreme, but if it doesn't bring you joy, why look at it? Why continue to let it bother you?

How you feel about yourself is the most important thing, so do what you need to do to get yourself self-confidence back in the new year.
