Flirting Techniques That Science Says Are Well Received
If you are single and like to hit the State Street bars on the weekends, you probably try to flirt with strangers. Bustle, and Jonathan Bennett, relationship and dating expert with Double Trust Dating, say that there are some flirting techniques that you have better luck with than others.
- Be interested in what the other person has to say. You might be distracted by something else, but if you're engaging them in conversation make sure that you are paying attention to them and what they have to say.
- Ask for a favor as a way to flirt with someone whether that means asking for them to pass you a drink menu at the bar or saving your seat if you have to step away to make a phone call or use the restroom. It breaks the ice and initiates a conversation with the person that you want to get to know.
- Tell a joke just make sure it's not offensive otherwise you will turn the other person off before they even get to know you. Tell a funny story and show off your sense of humor because you will instantly be more attractive to the other person if they see that you have a good sense of humor.
Flirting is not easy, and it can certainly be intimidating if you're not used to being out on the dating scene and putting yourself out there. Just like anything else though, practice makes perfect!
