Coffee in the morning can be the only reason to get out of bed sometimes, but are you drinking too much of the stuff? Bustle says that there are some side effects to drinking a lot of coffee that may change your morning routine.

  • Coffee increases your heart rate as well as your blood pressure, but it is only temporary (until you get your next cup).
  • It has a laxative effect and we all know what that means. Caffeine stimulates muscle contractions in the large intestines which leads to, well, yeah.
  • Coffee isn't great for anxiety and can cause panic attacks for some people who drink it. With the increased blood pressure, coffee can also cause sweating which are both signs of a panic attack.

Caffeine first thing in the morning can feel great, but the other things that coffee can do other than wake you up may have to rethinking your morning routine.
