Your Dating Expectations May Be Too High
It's important to know what you want in a partner and in a relationship, and settling with someone you don't actually see it working out with would be doing no one any favors. However, Bustle thinks that maybe you're expectations with dating might be too high, and that's why you're not having the greatest of luck finding love.
- You have a long list of deal breakers some of which could be completely reasonable, but others might be too picky. Consider re-evaluating that list and see if you have any luck after easing up a little.
- You can't seem to make it past a first or second date and that could be because you have too high of standards. Are you judging a date too soon because of the car they drive or was that date really awful because he picked his nose at the dinner table? Re-think about what turned you off to them and maybe you'll give someone a second chance.
- You never expect to fight with your partner which is incredibly unrealistic! Fighting can be healthy for a relationship. As long as you're not name-calling or getting physical, it could be very productive in a relationship to fight it out and then learn from it.
It's very important to have expectations and needs in a relationship, but some things like "he has to be blonde" or "she can't be taller than me" could be what is holding you back from finding someone perfect for you.
