If you're like me, you have a few weddings to attend this summer. 'Tis the season, right? Keep has a few tips on what not to wear at a wedding, so if you're unsure, take a look and be mindful this season.

  • A white dress, but you probably knew that already. At a wedding, only the bride should be wearing white.
  • An uninvited date on your arm because if you did not get a +1 the worst thing you could do is bring a date. He won't have a seat or a meal, and then it makes the bride and groom look bad.
  • A dress that is too short which will only make you self-conscious and everyone else uncomfortable if you have a slip-up of any kind.
  • All black because this is a wedding, not a funeral! I understand that black is flattering, but wear some color so that it doesn't look like you're in mourning.

Weddings are supposed to be fun, and you want to be there to celebrate the bride and the groom. Please, do not take away from that because of what you're wearing. That would be the real faux pas.
