Broome County Emergency Services officials say authorities were told a disabled woman was in the house at 2600 Stamford Drive when heavy smoke and flames were seen shooting from the attic at around quarter of two.
A second alarm was called and firefighters from Endwell and Apalachin joined Vestal battling the blaze.
The fire was reported out less than a half hour later.
The cause is under investigation.
