Tips On How To Tame That Garlic Breath
Garlic is good for your heart. But, so is kissing a girl. So, if you had to choose I am sure you would pick the girl over garlic any day of the week.
Now, you don't have to choose. Garlic breath can last up to 24 hours. And, I am pretty sure that I am the only one in the world who actually likes the smell of my garlic breath.
So, if you love garlic but hate the breath that it causes, I have a solution. According to a recent study from Ohio State University, you can tame garlic breath by eating raw apples, lettuce or mint leaves.
The study led by Sheryl Barringer gave participants three grams of softneck garlic cloves to chew for 25 seconds. Raw apples, raw lettuce and raw mint leaves reacted with those chemicals in garlic that create stinky garlic breath to neutralize the odor even better than mouthwash.
"These foods work by interacting with the garlic in the stomach, which prevents the garlicky compounds from entering the bloodstream and being expressed from the lungs into the air that is exhaled."
Now, as they say, you can have your cake and eat it too! Enjoy!
