Three Upstate New York Chefs to Compete on the Food Network
Almost every day when I get home from work my wife has the Food Network on and a lot of times it's a show featuring Guy Fieri. Whether it's 'Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives', or 'Guy's Grocery Games', she enjoys watching the TV chef and restaurateur.
On May 1st, the 9 p.m. episode of 'Guy's Grocery Games' will feature three chefs from Syracuse.
'Guy's Grocery Games' is almost like 'Supermarket Sweep' meets a cooking competition. Chefs race through the store to find ingredients while avoiding obstacles and then they must cook a meal that is judged by celebrity judges.
The winner of the competition gets to dash through the store in search of specific items for the chance to win thousands of dollars. Guy gives out clues to help contestants determine what product you are looking for, then you must find that item. The more items you collect in the allotted time, the more cash you win.
According to Syracuse.com, DeAnna Germano, Mark Germano, and Jason Jessmore of The Chef & The Cook near Syracuse will be competing against other chefs from Boston and Philadelphia.
According to the report, The Chef & The Cook on Syracuse in Baldwinsville will be holding a viewing party on May 1st at 9 p.m. featuring hors d'oeuvres and large viewing screens inside and outside the establishment.
