There is no denying that being overweight is one of the scariest things this day and age. So, when someone says there is something worse then that's scary.

At some level, we all need that connection to someone or something. So, according to Medicalnewstoday.com, not having that is more dangerous to your health than being obese.

Extreme examples show infants in custodial care who lack human contact fail to thrive and often die, and indeed, social isolation or solitary confinement has been used as a form of punishment."

I might be completely wrong but with the way things are today, I imagine this problem is going to be getting worse rather than better. Young kids don't have to connect or interact with anyone but their technology devices.
