Talking to Your Pet Makes You Smarter

Do you like to hold a conversation with your cat or dog? Other people may look at you sideways for it, but Brit.Co has found a study that proclaims that doing so is a sign of intelligence. Pet owners win again!

Anthropomorphism, or the tendency to project human qualities onto objects, plants or animals, is one way how we try to connect with our pets. So telling ourselves that Fido dreams and has nightmares like we do and one day wants to be an astrophysicist working for NASA may seem silly, but this is an ability that should be prized and not seen as silly or dumb at all.

Trying to relate to our pets, who sometimes know all of our deep, dark secrets, honestly, is a pretty cool thing. Don't judge others who do it, instead you should try it for yourself!
