The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a Winter Storm Warning in effect from 6 p.m. April 18 to noon April 19 for much of the Southern Tier.

The Twin Tiers and Central New York are under a Winter Storm Warning with several inches of snow possible starting overnight March 11-12.

The expected winter storm is causing officials to order cars off the street, delay garbage collection, cancel classes and place restrictions on major roadways.

The National Weather Service has issued Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Storm Watches for the Southern Tier, Central New York and Northeast Pennsylvania.
