The pumpkin spice latte is officially back at Starbucks as of today... in August. However, according to Bustle, there are some health benefits to drinking on of them.

  • Cinnamon has been known to help control blood sugar levels. If you're worried about your blood sugar though, you may not want a latte pumped with sweetener, so maybe you could put it on your morning oatmeal instead?
  • Ginger is often used to treat nausea and vomiting if you happen to have an upset stomach. Eating a slice of pumpkin pie may not help settle your stomach though, so I would suggest ginger tea instead of a latte if you're stomach is turning.
  • Pumpkin was officially added into Starbuck's pumpkin spice latte in 2015, so with that I can say that pumpkin is a great source of fiber and provides you with vitamin A which is great for your eye sight and skin.

Pumpkin spice lattes contain a lot of great things for you, but it certainly won't contain enough of any of the ingredients to really help any ailment that you may have. I guess you should try to get the trenta-sized latte if you're really determined!
