Johnson City Man Sentenced to 20 Years for Fatal Stabbing
A Broome County man has received a lengthy prison sentence in connection with a deadly dispute at the site of the former IBM Gun Club in the town of Union.
Caleb Casteline of Johnson City was sentenced in Broome County Court Thursday to 20 years in prison.
Casteline had pleaded guilty in October to first-degree manslaughter in the killing of 22-year-old Q-Quan Richardson. The attack happened August 26 during an altercation at an outdoor party off Robinson Hill Road.
Investigators had said the 20-year-old Casteline repeatedly stabbed Richardson at the gathering which was attended by a large group of people.
Casteline was taken into custody in Apalachin several hours after Richardson was attacked.
