A man who stabbed his 11-month-old son and his girlfriend several times in a Binghamton residence has been sentenced to seven years in prison.

According to pressconnects.com, Colyn Williams had been convicted of two counts of second-degree assault in connection with the incident that happened on March 27, 2019. He was sentenced Thursday in Broome County court.

The infant and a 22-year-old woman were stabbed repeatedly with a six-inch kitchen knife during an early-morning domestic dispute at 10 Gaylord Street.

Williams, who was 31 years old at the time, was gone by the time police officers arrived at the East Side apartment house following the attack. He was apprehended by detectives about seven hours later.
