I'm currently doing a 30 day clean eating challenge at my gym which is helping me really stay accountable for what I am eating. Basically, every single day we post a photo of everything we eat to our Facebook group and we get critiques of what we should and should not be eating to reach our different goals. This challenge has got me experimenting in the kitchen! Today's experiment was homemade turkey taco lettuce wraps!

The goal is to do away with all processed food so do not use the store bought taco packets! I made my own. Here's how:

  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ¼ tsp pepper

I used this to season ground turkey and added chopped red bell pepper, onion, tomato and homemade guacamole. You can add whatever veggies you like but try to stay away from things like canned salsa. Add your seasoned meat and veggies to romaine hearts and enjoy! I'll definitely be making this again!
