Soon your kids will be 18 and move out.  Just kidding.  They're leaving until they're 32.  There's a lot of stuff you probably want to do while they're still young.

Summer, when I was young, started out with a list of chores that my Dad had for my brother and me, once the chores were done, then we could play.  I lucked out, never had to attend Summer school (that was always the biggest "dread")

My kids enjoyed Darien Lake and Fantasy Island.  We went to Lake George regularly as well as Disney and Universal (being in radio had its perks). Dad would broadcast the morning show, then we would hit the parks. There was the time at Disneyworld when I was running with my son and knocked Davy Jones from the Monkees on his butt, accidentally of course.  He was very gracious.

According to the experts, the top things on people's "family bucket lists" . . .

1.  Take a road trip.

2.  Teach them how to play baseball.

2.  Teach them how to ride a bike.

3.  Go camping.

5.  Visit an amusement park or water park.

7.  Go to Disney World or Disneyland.

8.  Visit a zoo or aquarium.
