Does Your Partner Take You Seriously?
Sometimes it can feel that your partner doesn't take you and your needs seriously. Bustle made a list of things that a significant other won't do if they don't respect you and take the relationship as seriously as you do.
- Have dinner with you and your parents even though this may not be as big of a deal as it once was considered, eating dinner with your family is a time commitment, and if your significant other isn't willing to put up with the small chat for an hour or two, they may not take you all that seriously as a partner.
- Move their schedule around for you because a partner who is serious about you will make time for you, plain and simple. If they will only come over in the interest of sex, but not just to watch a movie or have dinner with you, then they might not take you seriously.
- Make long term plans with you which could be something as far out in advance as a movie coming out next weekend, and if they're skiddish about agreeing to those plans, then you might want to reconsider where you two are in your relationship.
A partner who is not afraid to make plans with you or spend time with your family is serious about you. Someone who hesitates to follow through with a commitment two days in advance might be a person you should pass on.
