Charlie Puth Teams Up With Boyz II Men for Harmony-Heavy ‘If You Leave Me Now’
The latest preview of Charlie Puth's forthcoming Voicenotes album amounts to a last-ditch effort to save a relationship — thankfully, the singer's got some tried and true love doctors on his side.
"If You Leave Me Now," released Thursday (January 4), will go down smoothly for any fan of early '90s R&B. Featuring the famously slick tones of Boyz II Men, the song calls out to a lover who's lost her rose-colored glasses and is ready to call it quits on her man.
"No, this is not goodbye, I swear that I'm gonna change / No, baby please don't cry, it doesn't have to end this way," Puth pleads over Boyz II Men's famously mellifluous harmonies and early '90s R&B snaps.
Puth's Voicenotes is due out on January 19, and he and Hailee Steinfeld will hit the road for a Summer 2018 tour in July.
