Breaking News: Tractor Trailer Crashes Off Bridge on Route 17 near Windsor

Early reports indicate a tractor trailer at least partially crashed off a bridge on Route 17 near exit 80 in the Windsor area at around 11 a.m. February 11.

Witnesses reported the cab of the truck appeared demolished but the driver did not seem to be seriously hurt.  Broome County Emergency Services reported minor injuries in connection with the crash.

Route 17 eastbound lanes have been closed as well as State Line Road.  Authorities indicate some westbound traffic might also be impacted.

Snow had been falling throughout the morning but there is no word concerning whether authorities believe road conditions contributed to the crash.
