Binghamton Student Remind People to Make Safe Choices This Season
A group of Binghamton High School students is hoping tradition holds and they don’t have to replace any lightbulbs on the holiday tree standing in front of the school building on Main Street.

The group will replace a white light with a red bulb any time someone dies in a crash as a result of drunk or distracted driving.
There has never been a red light on the tree in the history of the tradition.
The tree will remain on the school lawn through New Year’s Day as a reminder to residents of the sometimes tragic consequences of making poor decisions.
