Our local first responders not only protect our community, but they put their lives on the line every time they answer a call. Did you know that many of our local fire departments have to raise funds to be able to do what they need to do? It’s true and the Apalachin Fire Department is one of those fire departments.

On Saturday, June 17th, the Apalachin Fire Department will host a family movie night fundraiser and there’s no doubt that you and your kids will love this fun night out with the movie “Ice Age: Collision Course.” The Fire Department will also have popcorn, candy, and drinks available for cash purchase.

The movie will be shown at the Apalachin Field Day grounds on Field Day Drive with the grounds opening at 8pm and movie starting at 8:30am. A free-will donation will be accepted for the movie (cash or check, only). You’re welcome to bring a blanket or lawn chair for grass seating.

In the event of rain, the movie will most likely be shown the following Saturday, June 24th. Funds raised at the Apalachin Fire Department Outdoor Movie Night will support the mission of the Apalachin Fire Department to conduct hazard emergency response for our community.
