Did you know that Americans eat over 1 billion pounds of movie popcorn every year? So, do the math, that's a lot of money to the movie theaters.

Richard McKenzie wrote a book about popcorn and basically says that popcorn at a movie theater cost more per ounce than filet mignon.

Patrick Corcoran, from the National Association of Theatre Owners says, "No one is required when they enter the movie theater to buy concessions. We're happy when they do."

Many theaters consider themselves in the concession business, not the movie business.

So what do you think? Is it wrong to sneak snacks and drinks into the movie theater?
