When is Rick and Morty coming back? Do you really want to know? No, but do you really? I mean, really?

Okay okay fine. November! It’s coming back in November.

That’s the news out of the WarnerMedia Upfronts today. The announcement was also made on Twitter, where the official Adult Swim account tweeted this video:

By September, it will be almost two years since there were new Rick and Morty episodes on the air. The show went on a long hiatus in October of 2017, following the airing of the last of the show’s ten Season 3 episodes. Since then: bupkis, although a new deal between the creators of the show, Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, and Adult Swim was announced last summer. It calls for 70 additional episodes of Rick and Morty, the animated comedy about the adventures of alcoholic scientist Rick and his grandson Morty. To date, the show has only aired 31 episodes. So this order was huge; it will more than double the show’s previous episode total (and bring it up to 100 episodes, historically the magic number needed for endless syndication runs).

So get ready for new Rick and Morty this fall. When there’s a specific date in November, we’ll let you know.
