Tractor Takes Dip in Susquehanna River in Binghamton
Broome County Emergency Services officials say there don't appear to be any injuries after a tractor ended up partially submerged in the Susquehanna River behind the Rock B. Tavern in the City of Binghamton.
Witnesses had reported what they believed was a Department of Environmental Conservation tractor had gone into the river with the initial calls putting the scene near the Park Diner and Rock Bottom Dam.
Authorities say at around 9:53 a.m. they received a report that a piece of equipment had rolled down the bank and into the water on the north bank of the river near an access point.
Binghamton Police and the Fire Department responded to the scene
Responders were still on the scene an hour later trying to remove the equipment.
