A Town of Maine business almost wiped out by flash flooding this summer is reopening October 12 thanks to neighbors, family and customers.

Country Wagon Produce on Route 26 was close to closing for good after suffering damage to structures and having much of the crop and merchandise destroyed.

The farm stand and house on the property were damaged while the fields were swamped by Nanticoke Creek, wiping out fall season produce like pumpkins.

The business has had help over the past several weeks cleaning up, making repairs and even restocking with produce from outside suppliers.
