For the first time in my entire life, or at least for the first time for as far back as I can remember, I won't be watching the Super Bowl this year. It's not that I don't want to, it's that I can't. Literally.

My family lives in the middle of nowhere, a black hole if you will where there are no options for cable TV and where our internet is so sporadic that it might work or it might not with absolutely no rhyme or reason. So, sometimes we get to watch Netfilx and Hulu and sometimes we don't, it all depends on if our internet is working that particular day.

I forgot all of this when I went grocery shopping and came home with arms filled with things like wings and chips and dips. It was my husband who brought me back to reality when he started to help me unload the bags. Oh well, I guess we'll have a pig out party on Sunday evening while watching movies. I definitely won't complain!

If you're planning to watch the game or are going to someone's house to watch and aren't sure what you should take with you, maybe skip the chicken because there's an excellent chance your host is already planning to serve it.

According to the National Chicken Council, we Americans will scarf down an estimated 1.4 billion chicken wings this weekend alone. If you can believe this, chicken wings aren't even the most popular food that will be served. According to YouGov, chips and dip take the top spot with wings coming in second. Also on the list of foods that will be most served are pizza, nachos, and crackers with cheese.
