The Cider Mill Is Now Open
Even though Autumn is over a month and a half a way, you can enjoy the tastes of fall starting today at the Cider Mill.
When it comes to sweet treats in the Binghamton area, The Cider Mill might be the best of them all. With homemade donuts, apple cider, pies, candy apples and more, it's easy to see why the Cider Mill is so popular. Even people that have moved out of the area often mention the Cider Mill as one of the things they miss most about living in Broome County.
Today is opening day for the business on Nanticoke Avenue in Endicott. I can't wait to stop by and get my hands on some of their fresh donuts and that awesome cider. They are only open for a few months out of the year, so you really need to take advantage when you can.
One of my co-workers stopped on his way to work to buy some donuts. He didn't realize that the Cider Mill opened for business today, so he stopped somewhere else to get donuts. They were good, but come on, they weren't from the Cider Mill. Besides, you can get those donuts anytime of year.
It's always bittersweet, no pun intended, when The Cider Mill opens for the season because it means fall is not that far off and that summer is almost halfway over. I guess I'll have to wash down the sadness with a glass of apple cider.
