Broome Executive Jason Garnar: “We’re all tired of COVID” but the tracers are just doing their job.

Broome County’s death toll from the coronavirus pandemic is continuing its recent march upward with two more fatalities reported September 15.

A public service announcement went out today telling people to pick up their phones if you see "NYS Contact Tracing" show up.

The coronavirus has put all of our lives on pause and now that restrictions are being eased, New York state needs to get a good idea of who has been infected by COVID-19. Here is how you can apply to be a contact tracer.

Local residents are needed to sign up to be tracers to keep track of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 and find who they may have had contact with.
