Summer Returns This Weekend To The Upstate

Forrest Gump said it best, "Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you're gonna get." That quote also applies to the weather this time of year in the Upstate.

Crisp fall mornings in the 40s are my favorite. I love to sip coffee (Not pumpkin spice) on my front porch with my Newfoundland dog Gracie. We sit, watching the leaves fall and the squirrels gathering nuts for the coming winter. I'm usually wearing some kind of flannel shirt....also by favorite. I'm in fall mode. I'm ready for Halloween, Thanksgiving, hanging out by the fire pit and doing all the typical fall activities.

Here's the problem though. You have that kinda morning on a Tuesday and by this Saturday you're ready to break out the swim trunks again.

Make up your mind! I'm sure most people are excited to have another summer-like weekend, but for me, it just pulls me out of fall mode.
